  • Voilá: Here is our training halter Taomero®!
Biothane gives our supple, light (300 g) Taomero® the perfect stability. The buckles are great for adjusting the size and the lobster clasp makes the Taomero® super easy to take on and off. Thanks to the moving lead rope ring under the chin, this training halter (that can also be used as a sidepull for bitless riding) stays very still and does not slide into the eye of the horse! If you order our neck pads directly with your Taomero®, you can also get D-rings on the cheek straps to attach bit hangers for riding with a bit! Ten different sizes can be combined and there are more than 40 biothane and rope colors to choose from. We manufacture the Taomero® and all of our products by hand in Germany. Renowned instructors, trainers and therapists are just as much a part of our customer base as riders from all disciplines.

Good things to know about the ropes we use for the Taomero® and our double lunge: Our rope dries quickly and doesn’t get dirty too quickly. The rope has a low stretch and is easy to knot, so this rope is perfect for the Taomero®. The ropes we use have (OEKO-TEX) certification, which confirms that the rope is non-toxic and safe for humans and animals! All of our products made with this rope can be washed in the washing machine at 30° (please do not use fabric softener or put the product in the dryer).

“Young and inexperienced horses, horses breaking loose, rearing horses … I mostly deal with those types of horses in my daily work. So that’s why Tina, Saskia and I sat down one day and started thinking about how we could combine the advantages of a rope halter with the advantages of Biothane. It was important to me that the halter had a free -running lead rope ring so that it wouldn’t slide around or move on the horse’s head, or get into the eye of the horse. We also wanted a halter that did not need knots to keep its shape. In addition, the sidepull function is perfect because then you c an practice lateral flexion without the risk of the horse warping his head. It also allows us to use the halter not only for training from the ground, but also for riding. Perfect, I love it!”

The Equitrense® Vario is the right choice if you want to be able to switch between bit and bitless in the easiest, most comfortable way possible. You can use the Equitrense® Vario either as a sidepull, a regular bitted bridle (with the help of biothane bit hangers) or you can combine bit + bitless with our switch reins that can be attached to both the bit and the sidepull rings (bit hangers and dual reins are sold separately). With switch reins, you attach the small snap to the sidepull ring on the nose piece and the big snap directly to the bit. The strap that is attached to the bit is longer and adjustable so that you can decide how much pressure should be applied to the bit vs. the sidepull. Do you want your reins to apply equal pressure on the nose as on the bit?
Or do you want more pressure on the nose and less on the bit?
    It’s up to you!

Even if your hands move, the switch reins can help avoid directly disturbing the horse’s mouth. The conversion of the three versions of the Equitrense® Vario is super easy and only takes a few seconds.
Optionally and for a surcharge (+ 5 euros) this Equitrense®® can be equipped with a lead ring (D-ring) on the chin strap.

    Standard:

    • Neck Pads
    • Innovative, horse-friendly soft noseband
    • Sidepull rings
    • D-rings on the cheek pieces for bridle function/bit hangers

    Optional:

    • Lead ring (D-ring) on the chinstrap

Attention: The D-rings on the cheek straps allow the bridle to be used as a bitted bridle or
bitless bridle. The add-on parts (bit hangers, switch reins, bitless bridle straps) can be
ordered as separate items in the shop. The advantage: You can buy the add-on parts when you really need them and then of course in the color that you like best.

  • Would you like to compete in equipment from Equimero®? No problem! The Equitrense® Classic is very similar to a classic bridle, for example because of the continuous cheek straps into which the bit is buckled, as well as the browband, etc. That is why the Equitrense® Classic is suitable for competing. What makes the Equitrense® Classic so
special is the wide noseband which is very comfortable for the horse (optimal pressure distribution) and the neck pads, which leave the horse’s sensitive neck area free thanks to our bridge construction.

As a visual highlight, the nose pad can be wonderfully individually embroidered.

    Standard:
    – Neck Patches
    – Innovative, horse-friendly nose pad
    – Simple browband

    Optional:
    – Extra bit hangers for double bridle/curb bit conversion

  • Neck Patches: Our two-piece neck pad which provides your horse pressure relief in the sensitive neck area.

The intuitive break of the line from the mouth to the ears and the associated distribution of pressure on the anatomical cushions prevent pressure buildup on these sensitive parts. The patches are connected to each other via a length-adjustable bridge so you can adjust their positions for optimal comfort. The neck patches are shaped in such a way that the piece behind the horse’s ears is considerately cut out so that the soft, seamless, underside is what faces the horse and the sensitive backsides of the ears to prevent chafing.

  • Our Equizügel® is a Biothane “bridle ring,” adjustable in size with a buckle and slide-able padding. The buckle for size adjustment is embedded in the padding and is, therefore, located under the horse’s neck so that it isn’t in the rider’s way when grasping the reins. The Equizügel can either be used as a second pair of reins similar to double bridle reins, or used individually, similar to a neck ring. The use of the Equizügel leads to better control and reining in of a horse. The rider gets a virtually reins-free riding experience.

An additional D-ring for the fine ground work or Horsemanship is also located on the bottom of the Equizügel® and can be easily combined with our 7m long Federleicht leash, which weighs just 225g.

    Function and Use:

The ring-shaped Equizügel can be used as double bridle reins as well. That’s because of the padded piece on the neck. With the Equizügel you have about as much or more contact than you would with snaffle reins. When the reins are secure in your hand, the effect should be as if the pull on the horse is concentrated at the neck and not at its mouth. Take care not to cramp on the reins or hold them rigidly. The length of the Equizügel should be chosen carefully to ensure the rider is able to sit upright rather than bent forward. During the beginners phase it is recommended that you follow these instructions implicitly. With time you can transition to leaving the reins loose at the neck, and eventually even hold them in one hand (with this phase we recommend that you shorten your Equizügel).

    Uses and Application Possibilities

    For the Horse

    • Horses react to impulses they feel via sensitive muscles in the chest area, which causes them to rise up at the area between the shoulder blades (wither). Horses that are hard to bring into an upright position, lacking balance and tend to trip, lean on the reins, or run loose get the additional support they need from Equizügel. Equizügel serve to lend that extra balance and coordination to your everyday riding experience.

    For the Rider

    • With Equizügel, the rider’s hands have a smaller radius to operate within, inevitably leading to a better awareness of riding form and an improvement in sitting position. This makes it easier for the rider to perceive the importance of the relationship between the two.

    Avoid Usage If…

Equizügel should not be used on horses that refuse to go forward. The reins would only further hinder such horses from accomplishing that task. The horse should be used to riding forward before engaging the use of Equizügel in training such as transition work, for example, so you can gain better control of the reins around the neck.

  • With two longe lines, horses gain coordination and strength. The Double Longe Pro Balance lines lay freely and comfortably in the hand and allow for easy maneuvering. At 15m and 850g, the Double Longe Pro Balance lines are really light, allowing you great flexibility in the guidance of your horse. With the ease and intimacy of interaction they provide, working with the Double Longe Pro Balance lines is as close to riding as you’ll get.

    The Advantages:

The horse’s hindquarters are controlled by the outer longe since placing the outer longe line around the hind leg prevents the hindquarters from turning out. With double longe lines you can better position your horse. If you ease up on the double longe lines, you extend the frame of the horse enabling the correct stretch posture. Longe lines can easily be changed from one hand to another.
